GAZİANTEP HAMAM MÜZESİ
Gaziantep'te ayrı bir öneme sahip olan, adına türküler yazılan ve geçmişten günümüze hamam kültürünü yansıtan Gaziantep Hamam Müzesi yerli ve yabancı turistlerin ilgisini çekmeye devam ediyor.
Gaziantep'e gidip de hayran olduğumu artık dünya alem biliyor. Orada gördüğüm her yerin ayrı bir yazı konusu olabileceğini de önceki yazımda söylemiştim. Bıkmayız diyenler için buyurun efendim; Gaziantep'te hamam kültürü nasıldı ve Hamam Müzesi'nin ihtişamı! Gezimiz tamamen plansız, doğaçlama geliştiğinden, şehirde bir Hamam Müzesi olduğundan da haberimiz yoktu. Yürüyerek gezerken önümüze çıktı. 1577 yılında Lala Mustafa Paşa tarafından bir külliye yaptırılmış ve bir bölümü hamam olarak kullanılmış. Paşa Hamamı olarak uzun yıllar hizmet vermiş. 2015 yılında Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyesi tarafından aslına sadık kalınarak restore edilip hamam kültürünün yaşatıldığı bir müze haline dönüştürülmüş. Hamam araç ve gereçleri ile hamam adetleri, balmumu heykeller ve maketlerle canlandırılmış. Hamamın kapısından adımınızı atıp merdivenlerden aşağı inerken gerçek bir hamama girdiğiniz hissi uyanıyor. Soğukluk, ılıklık, sıcaklık gibi bölümleri dolaşırken, hatta çıkmak istemediğiniz halde çıkış merdivenlerine yönelirken de gerçek bir hamamda yıkanıp paklanmış, pirüpak olmuş hissiyle terkediyorsunuz hamamı. Gerçeğe çok yakın balmumu heykeller harika; bronz heykellerin de onlardan aşağı kalır yanı yok. Hamam kültürü bana hep çok ilginç gelir. Çocukluğumda halam ve rahmetli Dilber teyzem (Dilber ismi de ne hoş ve ne cazibelidir) elimden tutup defalarca Üsküdar hamamlarına götürmüşlerdir. İstanbul'da bile halk, yıkanıp paklanmayı hamamlardan başka bir yerde düşünmezken hamamlar elbette Anadolu'da insanların hayatında önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Sadece yıkanmak için değil elbet, zamanın sosyalleşme mekânlarıymış hamamlar. Eski Gaziantep evlerinde de banyo olmadığından her gidiş bir festival havasında olurmuş. Ve orada bütün gün kalınacağı için, hamam eşyalarından başka yiyecek içecek de götürülür, hatta yemek malzemeleri götürülür, yemekler orada yapılır ve birinci su ile yıkandıktan sonra bu yemekleri yerlermiş. Neymiş bu yemekler? Çiğ köfte, kısır, malhotalı köfte, maş piyazı, lolaz piyazı, dolma, sarma, mevsimine göre karpuz, üzüm gibi meyveler ve daha bir dolusu. İnsanlar, özellikle kadınlar hamama gitmek için fırsat kollarlarmış. Gelin hamamı, damat hamamı, lohusa hamamı, adak hamamı, hamamda kız beğenme, nefse hamamı gibi hamam günleri düzenlenirmiş. Nefse hamamında nefse emi denilen Gaziantep'e özgü bir kuvvet macunu yapılır, hem yenir hem de romatizmal hastalıklara karşı şifa veren bir merhem olarak vücudun çeşitli yerlerine sürülürmüş. Bu Antep hamamları o kadar ünlüymüş ki, türküsü bile yapılmış, o kadar yani.
Gaziantep Hamam Müzesi Nerede, Nasıl Gidilir ?
Antep’in bu farklı müzesi, Antep Kalesi’ne 3-4 dakika yürüme mesafesinde bulunuyor. Yani, konum olarak oldukça merkezi bir yerde bulunmakta. Hamama ulaşmak için şehir merkezinde olmanız yeterli. Hiçbir ulaşım aracına ihtiyacınız olmadan merkezden bu müzeye rahatlıkla ulaşabilirsiniz.
