Medusa Arkeolojik Cam Eserler Müzesi
Medusa Cam Eserler Müzesi 15 yıllık bir birikimin sonucunda ortaya çıkan koleksiyonu daha geniş kitlelere sanat severlere ,bilim adamlarına sunabilmek için hayata geçirilmiştir.
21 Haziran 2008 tarihinde açılışı yapılan müzeyi ilk 1 ay içerisinde 5 bin yerli ve yabancı kişi ziyaret etmiştir. Medusa Cam Eserler Müzesi tarihe tanıklık eden Gaziantep Kalesi civarında eski üç Antep evinin alınıp restore edilmesiyle oluşturulmuştur. Müze binası altı odadan oluşmaktadır. Odalardan 5 tanesi sergi salonu olarak , 1 tanesi ise eserlerin kopyalarının yapılıp ziyaretçiye sunulduğu mekan olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Eski Tunç Çağına ait bronz figürinler , Roma dönemine ait çeşitli bronz eserler,altın takılar,Kil mühür baskıları ,İslami döneme ait altın sikkeler ve yaklaşık 150000 yıl öncesine ait tam fosilleşmemiş bir mamuta ait sağ alt bukkal (çene kemiği) ve vertebrası (omur kemiği) , Roma ve İslami döneme ait cam şişeler ,parfüm ve gözyaşı şişeleri, cam ve pişmiş toprak amforalar ,Fenike dönemi renkli cam amforalar,Roma dönemine ait cam bardaklar, cam bilezikler, pişmiş toprak kandiller sergilenmektedir.
Roma ve İslami döneme ait cam ve taştan yapılmış kolyeler, çeşitli takılar, Roma dönemine ait cam bardaklar, kulplu ve kulpsuz çeşitli amaçlarla kullanılmış sıvı kapları sergilenmektedir. Medusa Cam Eserler Müzesinde yaklaşık 4000’e yakın eser bulunmaktadır. Bu eser grubunun % 70’ini cam eserler,% 20 ‘sini bronz ve pişmiş toprak eserler,% 10’u ise Roma ve İslami döneme ait altın ve bronz sikkeler , altın takılar oluşturmaktadır, Müzenin bahçesine yapılan cam ocağında Suriyeli usta tarafından müzede bulunan cam eserlerin kopyaları üfleme tekniği ile yapılarak ziyaretçilerin beğenilerine sunulmaktadır. Müze aynı zamanda farklı el sanatlarının tanıtıldığı ve şovlarının yapıldığı atölyelere de ev sahipliği yapmaktadır.
Süryani ustaların ufak şovlar yaptığı gümüş telkari atölyesi, sedef atölyesi, kutnu dokuma atölyesi ve masa üzeri cam boncuk gösterilerinin yapıldığı cam boncuk atölyesi. Ayrıca antika eserlerin sergilendiği ve bir kısmının satışa sunulduğu antika satış mağazası da diğer bölümlerde yerini almaktadır. Ülkemizin ilk özel cam eserler müzesi olan Medusa Cam Eserler Müzesi ünik eserleri ve eser sayısı bakımından Gaziantep turizmine katkı sağlayacak görülmeye değer ender müzelerimizdendir.
