Gaziantep Savaş Müzesi Hakkında

Bilindiği gibi Gaziantep dünyada eşine az rastlanan bir kurtuluş mücadelesi verdi.

Bu mücadelenin tarihi kahramanlarını, şehitlerini hatırlatmak adına 2008 yılında Şahinbey Belediye Başkanı Ömer Can’ın katkıları ile Şehitler caddesinde şehitler hamamı ve çevresi güzel bir düzenleme ile tarihi görünümüne kazandırıldıktan sonra, şehitler hamamının yanında bulunan eski Antep mimarisi ile yapılmış ev savaş müzesi olarak açılmıştır.

Şehreküstü Mahallesi Şehitler Parkı içerisinde bulunan tarihi Antepevi’nde hayat bulan Gaziantep Savaş Müzesi “Antep Harbi Sırasında Yaşanmış Olaylardan Kesitler” teşhiri ve Antep Harbinin gerçeklerinin yansıtıldığı panolarıyla dikkat çekmektedir. 12 odalı tarihi yapı, içerisinde bulunan pano ve eserlerle Gaziantep halkının Kurtuluş Savaşı’nda vermiş olduğu mücadeleyi gözler önüne sermektedir.

Panolar, savaş aletleri sergisi, etnografik eserlerin yanısıra “İmalat-ı Harbiye”, “Boş Kovan Toplayan Kahraman Çocuklar”, Çello’nun Eminesi’nin Savaşa Daveti” gibi mizansenlerin heykeller ile canlandırıldığı müze o dönemdeki milli duyguları bir kez daha yaşatıyor.
